Sobre esta herramienta: Compress PDF
Large PDFs — especially ones full of scanned images or high-resolution graphics — can be a hassle to email or upload where file size limits apply. PDF Reducer’s Compress tool reduces file size by optimizing embedded images, fonts and internal structure, while keeping the document as close to the original as possible.
Savings depend on what is inside the file: image-heavy PDFs usually shrink the most, text-only PDFs the least. A file that is already well optimized is returned unchanged rather than made larger.
Cómo funciona
- Add your PDFs. Drag them in, choose them from your device, or import from Google Drive or Dropbox.
- Review the list. Remove anything you added by mistake — nothing is uploaded until you press Compress.
- Compress. The tool tries several compression methods and keeps whichever valid result is smallest.
- Download. Get your compressed PDF, or a ZIP if you compressed several files at once.

Will compressing reduce the visual quality of my PDF?
Compression targets redundant data, embedded fonts and image encoding. Some image-heavy PDFs may see a small quality trade-off in exchange for a meaningfully smaller file.
What if my PDF is already small?
If a file can’t be compressed further without growing, the tool returns it unchanged rather than making it larger.
Can I compress several PDFs at the same time?
Yes. Add multiple files and they are each compressed and returned together in a ZIP archive.
Are my files kept after compression?
Source uploads are removed after processing. Delete a result immediately from its result screen, or download it; abandoned results expire after two hours and are removed by hourly cleanup. We never manually review or share your documents.
